A one-time 8-hour course, demonstrating a variety of uses for engobes (underglaze).
The course explores every stage of engobe work, beginning at the preparation phase
which is simple and fun (no scale needed), and continuing with an array of
decoration / ornamentation techniques: paper cutouts, color transitions, crackle effect
and sgraffito techniques (carving and scratching), including planning approaches and
methods for greater precision.
All techniques can be used on vessels/sculptures/slabs made by hand or on the wheel.
The workshop incorporates demonstrations and practical individual work.
